Adventures on the Pinhoti

Pinhoti Adventures
Your Guide: Todd Williams

Well folks I have gotten the time to post another been there done that. We drove over to Alabama last fall to check out the Pinhoti trail at Cheaha State Park. There are numerous trails in and around the park, but not well marked. In fact the people at the store in the park told us that they want you to get lost in the national forest. Although, the Pinhoti trail is well marked and they use a white turkey track to mark the trail. Once we got on the Pinhoti, all went well and this trail is highly recommended.

On the other hand Cave Creek Trail is NOT marked at all, with the exception of beautiful trail head. Be careful not to take a wrong turn that needs a sign some 3/4 of a mile down the trail. The trail takes a hard right and we went down a large hill and crossed a couple of creeks. The only other people we saw was a hunter, and he was not to thrilled about us being in his huntin' hole. So we chated with him while he smoked a cig, and turns out his brother-in-law had already accidentally shot one of his family members. It looked like it runs in the family. Well lets look at the pics...

Here's the usual crew packed up and moving on down the trail...no ultralighters here

Ball's taking it all in here...This is fromCheaha State Park

He can piss and put that thang out...We we took a wrong turn we ended up camping in the middle of a road and built a fire.

There was some pretty fall colors out during November

These two are discussing the number of natty lite beer cans on the trail.
So don't go down any trail with natty lite beer cans....just don't do it!
Took the wrong turn here on Cave Creek. Should have went right not down the hill...
Dumbass again

This is whats called the swithback...we camped on the rock in the background with some 50-60 mph wind.

Here is the view from the rock above.

Nice sunsets here

See our flag here the T-shirt shows ya how much the wind was blowing.

Well, that's all for now. Keep it funky and happy trails to ya!
